Tom Jones Concert

So, my mom and I went to the Tom Jones concert last night. I have advise for anyone who want to see him live.....DON'T.

What a waste of money!!! And it wasn't just Tom Jones either, it was the people around us! Oh, you all want to know?? OMG where do I start???

We'll lets starts with the couple sitting in front us. Mrs. Mail-Order-Bride and her husband. I'm serious! She fawned on this guy like Scrooge over his money. This woman was RIDICULOUS! she was bouncing like 5ft in the air every time a new song started, and when she wasn't bouncing she was leaning forward, so that anybody behind her (namely me) couldn't see. Her husband, Mr Mail-Order was doing the same thing, that is, when he wasn't leaning all the way back, with his head practically in the guy's lap behind (this was the guy sitting next to me), and Mr.Mail-Order looked like he was trying to go to sleep!!! I finally had to tell them to sit back so other people could "enjoy" the show!

And then you had the ladies sitting beside my mom. Like, OMG you'd think you were at a Back Street Boys concert...when they were hot. These ladies were like three times my age and SCREAMING their heads off. I wanted to tell them to GROW UP!

But I couldn't say too much since 90% of the women there were like that, and the same age! It's called maturity people, ever heard of it?

And the panties, OMG the panties. Do even get me started. I realize Tom Jones was a sex symbol when he was young...but not so much. Besides....who throws their GRANNY PANTIES???

Okay, now on to Tom Jones. Let's see....buddy can't multi task. He'd be singing one of his good songs, and somebody would throw a pair of panties on the stage, and he would be so distracted by these panties, that he would stop singing. When he'd finally start singing again, he would start at an entirely different part of the song! And every time it looked like he was going to do a dance move, he stopped suddenly. You could almost see his brain working, thinking "If I do that, I'll break a hip".

So yea, you ever get the urge to see Tom Jones in concert...don't! Buy a CD.

61 HOURS!

I am so proud of myself! I have now been smoke free for 61 hours! It's been tough but Scott has been great about it!
Although he still smokes in the house (and I am hoping to discuss that with him) he now lights a scented candle so I don't have to smell the smoke as much and he also had agreed not to smoke in the bedroom, so that I can have a little refuge!

I am so proud of him! He's been reall supportive!

The Perfect Car!

Okay, I admit it, Scott's friend was right. He did find us the PERFECT jeep. It's got everything! It's a 2004, Silver Jeep Liberty Limited! It's got a sun roof, full time AND part time 4X4, 6 CD changer, EVERY THING'S electric (even the side mirrors). There's volume and radio controls on the steering wheel! Oh and heated seats even! It hasn't gone through inspection yet, so there's no guarantee's. But we've placed a deposit on it, and if every thing's okay, we should be able to pick it up Tuesday night or Wednesday. I'm so excited! I can't wait!

Stupid Car

Wow! What a day! Yesterday when I got home from work, my van stalled ( for those of you whom don't know, I drive a 1990 Dodge Caravan, that my dad lent me). Well both Scott and Dad looked at it, figured there was nothing wrong.

But I had a bad feeling, and we all know about woman's intuition.

Sure enough, this morning, driving on the highway to work, all of a sudden the van makes this knocking noise in the engine and MASSIVE exhaust (so much I couldn't see out my back window). So I slowed the car down to 90km/h and eased her into the slow lane. Good thing I did, because I picked up the cell and called Scott, and just as I asked him if I should pull over...she died! Yup, right there on the highway. Thankfully I was able to ease her over to the shoulder.

So Scott came and I called AMA, and they took two hours to arrive, and towed my van to the garage as Scott drove me to work.

BUT....that's not the end, oh no, there's so much more.

After Scott had gotten home, he began to arrange to have me get put on the insurance for his 1996 Blazer, but he also has to replace the battery. He got me on the insurance and replaced the battery....but the check engine light wouldn't go off. So he took it, and had the computer hooked up to the reader......blown head gasket! So there goes that idea.

So he ran to the car dealership to see his friend, started looking at vehicles, and arranged for an appointment for us to go in tomorrow morning for some test drives.

Meanwhile, I had been trying to get a hold of Scott to see if he had the insurance all figured. He finally called me back, and told me what he had been doing. I got a little excited when he told me we were going for test drives tomorrow.

Then I get a call, it's my father. The van's fixed, I can pick it up after five. It was just the block heater, and they're going to fix it. Booo....there goes the new car. I call Scott and let him know, and ask him if we can still look at cars tomorrow. He says we can, but this might mean we're not buying right away if the price isn't right

So Scott comes and picks me up after work, and we head to go to the back and then pick up the van. Just after we enter the city, my cell phone rings. It's my dad again, he tells me we better go pick up hit station wagon, the van is toast. I asked him what happened, he said there was so much pressure, that the block heater pretty much blew the engine.

So off we go. We picked up the wagon, and now I can't wait for tomorrow to start test driving. I really hoping for a Jeep. We got a call from Scott friend at the dealership. Scott was looking at Jeeps because he knew that's what I wanted. They didn't see this one when he was there, but his friend took a another walk around the lot after Scott left and said he found us THE MOST PERFECT JEEP. (Exact words). Now he's got me really excited!!

The First Post

So I decided that I would start a blog for Scott and I, just to keep in touch. I think this will be really useful after the wedding as then we don't' have to keep the wedding website up and running.

What to expect on here...hmmm probably just stuff about us! About or cats, our honeymoon, any other travel, even our renovations....or anything else that might peak our interest.

I can't promise how often this will be updated, but we'll try our best!

So enjoy!
